I love my F70EXR, but I have a curious issue with it. When I turn it on the lens moves out, the screen lights up for a split second and then the camera goes dead. To get the lens to move back in I have to remove the battery and put it back in again. I thought it was the battery, but a new battery (generic, off Ebay) didn't do the trick: problem persists. Anyone an idea what this could be?

The higher rez actually lowers the quality, the f70 is the better camera based on photo quality.

The new one is way better, its 14 mp and does record HD movies with sound, it also has a 28-280mm Lens

I have the same camera. Im trying to record games on my tv with out a card or mac. What can i do for top quality? Please leave any suggestions, im just trying to understand the functions of it.

You can get a newer version of this (f72exr) for £200 online at jessops. They throw in a bag and 8gb memory card
