@fuzzynavel100 actually amplitube does have a feature to import your songs on your iPod library so you can play along. just slide the top section and on the right side you will find a "Song" tab, tap there and you will see at the bottom "add song"

I'm currently connecting my guitar directly through the line-in jack in my black MacBook. It works but there's a lot of buzz!
In this video you are splitting the irig's earphone jack in two; one for your earphones and the other into GarageBand! I wonder how GarageBand is handling that input. Does it detect it as an electric guitar? If you output a clear guitar sound can you apply an effect or an amp simulation? Can you tweak amplitube to output a clear unamplified guitar signa
