Check your ISO, perhaps it is set too low. If that is not it, Check the exposure compensation setting. If that is off it will mess up the picutre, If that is not it, Try resetting the global settings. If that is not it, install the newest firmware from on line. If there is still a problem, Call Nikon. PS you may want to get our D3000 videos, at elitevideo com.

What button? If the shutter is not going off when you press the shutter button, you may be shooting in low light and the focus is not locking. You can unlock the focus by going to manual or go to the menus to change focus settings.

question : when i try to take flash photos on my D3000 my camera doesn't let me take the shot..and were the USB connection is at this weird burning smell comes out of there when i try and take a shot with the flash on...is there something wrong with the flash on my camera or and i doing something wrong ?..someone help me out here please. ??
