very expensive! about $4500 and my understanding is that they are only making them because of the Japanese market. Thats the problem when you make good quality equipment; its expensive and the used market is bigger then the new market but the used market brings no money to the manufacturer..

I love the Leica, & i can concur with everything said regarding the psychology, ethos & behavior of existence within the tool; but I cant stand digital because it isn't predictable like film and even more-so like a manual film camera does.
It was financial survival for Leica to go digital, but digital goes against my work style and my reason for using Leica in the first place.

yeah i use manual mode about 95% of the time. i use aperture priority mode though, when i'm doing sports because the meter is faster to select a shutter speed
