Thank you very much for this review Blunty :) I've been looking for a good, cheap camera for a long time, and you've convinced me to buy this one. Fingers crossed that my parents will buy it for me :D
boborone Says:
Thank you for the response. Please keep up the good work on your videos and objective reviews.
Blunty3000 Says:
Still use it, still love it.
boborone Says:
So, Blunty, 6 months later, are you still liking this camera? Or have you put it down and gone to one of your other ones? And you talked alot about the menu system. Would that be too much for somebody coming from the world of point-n-shoot?
jsm666 Says:
Okay, what's the thing with these "toy" lenses? Novelty? Or do they have some sort of place in the lineup?
Procrastinator69 Says:
Blunty, you deserve your own tv show. You're awesome, fun and informative. the Q is a great fun camera, albeit the Nikon J1 is out which is only 10 percent bigger, yet has a 4x larger sensor, 1200fps high speed video and phase detection auto focus, and to my knowledge is almost the same price.
YouToobDoode Says:
is this a good first time camera for someone who wanna get into photgraphy?
dzulk9 Says:
well.......IT'S OVER 9000!!!!!!!
Inigo37 Says:

would you suggest this camera for stop motion animation and if not what other camera would you suggest for use in stop motion animation? I am looking for a nice camera for my animation and would like one that will allow me to focus in closely to the LEGO minifigures that I use, my proffered price range would be about $500 or less. Getting the camera refurbished would be fine.
TheArekussu Says:
Love the video, always admired the Q. It's weird and people might not get it, but it's a genuinely nice camera to shoot with, which is something Pentax are very good at from my experience. Your voice reminds me of the guy off the Buzz video games...
bfg1996 Says:
Its sooo small...you can fit it up yer arse !!
SwordSaint32 Says:
awesome now I just need $650 time to go look behind the couch.
JacosVonJacos Says:
Thanks for the reply. I was just wondering how does the AF speed in this compare to shooting in live view mode in say a nikon d5100 or 600d? I had a Sony a55 and the af speed was great using the lcd to compose. So i dont really want to be getting a slower af camera.Damn-getting myself all confused now!
Blunty3000 Says:
I'll say this; Lately it's MUCH smarter if you consider digitalrev's stuff simply as "entertainment" and NOT real "reviews".
JacosVonJacos Says:
Hi Blunty, almost ready to buy one of these but i was a little worried about the shutter/lcd lag that is shown in the digital rev review. How do you find it in day to day shooting. Thanks.
Blunty3000 Says:
Yup, I paid the "early adopter tax", don't regret it, have had LOTS of fun with it ever since, but you're right, the recent price drop has made it MUCH more enticing :) Enjoy.
JJtheEskimo Says:
since the price slash is the only thing I was waiting for, just ordered my first camera, the pentax q :) cheers blunty mate.
chakracannon97 Says:
Doesn't its screen lag a little? Anyway you have kind of changed my mind on this thing.
VictorPhanVP Says:
If I wanted to do studio filming and documenting, and a bit of photography, which camera would be more preferable for me, the V1 or the Pentax Q?
BOXFRESH99 Says:
I love the design of old cameras. Therefore I think this is for me!:D
U23Drocs Says:
Hey Blunty! how much does the Pentax Q cost? Im intrigued by it for some reason
TheShabangabang1 Says:
Blunty, i have a Canon ixus 220hs, and am looking to upgrade to a camera with a bit more grunt, i use my current camera for mainly video, i'm thinking either the Nikon 1 or Pantax Q but i can't tell which has better quality Full HD video, or whether it is better than the canon ixus 220hs. What would you recommend?
Harlei3 Says:
That's teeny. And weeny.
