The best song, from the best album, of the best band of the last decade. Matt Berninger's voice is sublime. The drummer is fantastic as well. He reminds me a lot of John Lennon
streeTkiDwannaBe Says:
Perhaps he's talking about the St. Vincent song 'The Strangers'? Or that meh movie with Liv Tyler. Or it's spam......yeah...probably spam.
tominrochester Says:
Who the Fuck are "The Strangers" dip shit? Strange way to try and promote a band...
DuneO2 Says:
And, by the way, he writes those songs.
mhopps91 Says:
You get mistaken for John Lennon by your own fans.
WheresTheOrchestra Says:
If their singer wasn't a mumbly bastard they might be a great band.
Megan Jenkins Says:
I've been to tons of concerts in my life - but seeing the National at the Orpheum was easily my favourite. Fantastic band. Phenomenal live.
TheMuhalefet Says:
the national dinleyen bir türk buldum ya ölsem de gam yemem artık
z1rakz1gal Says:
agreed, and this is a 'much more interpol' track than usual from them, (ok, its not nu) to me. im all over interpols back catalogue..newer to these guys. has some elements of killing joke and echo and the bunnymen also i feel, and the de rigueur joy division meets american alt-goth sound is well covered here. anything that sounds interpol is ok here.
bunnyhop28 Says:
Cool song here by The Strangers. Check out The Vinyls they're a really good band too!! THE VINYLS-GET IT OUT OF YOUR HEAD
Can Doğan Says:
hmmm ufuk güzelmiş keke
Spartanof2012 Says:
Idk man i kinda like his vocals, reminds me a whole lot of Paul from Interpol except this guy sounds more chill
apunk015 Says:
I am also a big fan of Matt's voice, I think its distinctive, suits the music well, and has personality (it reminds me A LOT of the singer from Interpol) but truly and honestly, he doesn't sing with much emotion. But that's part of his style, a calm, almost deadpan voice with little emotion or variation in the melodies he sings but really thats fine by me. Taking what I just wrote into account, you can understand why Blondieney would think that he could do more with his vocals.
iniminipini Says:
I kinda feel in another dimension when listening to the national, a dimension where everything makes sense and where true artists are rewarded for their work.Sadly however...
MrJazp Says:
true, maybe you don't care... but I only want to say: it's beautiful music if you listen it attentively. so it's strange that there are people who dislike it and call it borring!
08timlfc Says:
Well I think under rated is a good thing because the past shows that excessive popularity changes people in the music industry and not usually for the best.
thecagdashalitolgu Says:
i dont care how many people likes the national.. you should only think what you like.. and i like the national!

Mistaken for John Lennon by your own fans.

I used to think like that in 2009, now though? I love them.
locarness Says:
True, but i'm not adult and i apreciate
landondonovanify Says:
I dont think The National are underrated, they're quite well known and popular now, lots of youtube views on their songs and a lot of people know who they are. I say well done them
ohadashtarwest7 Says:
this band is the most underrated band in the universe
