Absolutely beautiful, both Miss Page and the song. When it comes down to it, no other singer could do this song justice, imho. (But, get a load of that dress--yoww!) Thanks for the very cool post.<3 peace

Patti (boring) Page. To be fair, she has a great voice and is a terrific singer.
She is however a weak entertainer.
I had the misfortune of buying a couple of tickets to her show in a Fort Lauderdale
hotel about 30 years ago. I could have listened to her records and go the same
entertainment for nothing.
A fan got up to snap a picture of her while she was singing, and she turned away from
the camera.
Lady Gaga is an entertainment genius. Way above Patti Page, for my money.
back to him.

The fifties had great tastes. I still get a bit confused with the fact that the live shows sound better than the recordings in most cases.
Beautiful sound though. :)

I was waltzing with my darlin' to the Tennesse waltz
when an old friend I happened to see.
I introduced him to my loved one,
and while they were waltzing
my friend stole my sweet-heart from me.
I remember the night and the Tennessee waltz.
Now I know just how much I have lost.
Yes I lost my little darlin' the night
they were playing the beautiful Tennessee waltz.
