Its an excellent camera, had it for over a year now for taking photos. Now... the HD video. Ain't that great. Again maybe it's the way I'm using it but it zooms in and out of focus a lot with much background clicking from the lens which transfers to the audio track. A scene with much noise... you won't hear it, filming a quiet scene all you hear is click, click... really annoying.

no it does not, but i got a cool little adapter that lets me put any lens or filter on, it cost £10 and its held onto the camera with screws and has threads at the other end witch i have a fisheye on

IMO the great thing about digital photography is that so much can be automated which truly helps beginners take good pictures. This model and other similar ones have options that program the camera for different situations and settings. And then if you want to take more control, you can use manual overrides. Best part is since they're digital photos - you can delete all the bad ones:) Enjoy! HSN Shopping Diva
