Also, by all means stay away from Nikon point and shoots. Especially that touch screen one. My cousin has one, and everything that comes out of that thing is horrendous.

Canon has great picture quality, if you know how to use a camera the images it produce can rival those taken with an SLR (depending on what you are shooting). Sony seems to have this creative style that makes many pictures have a blue tint, regardless of white balance settings. Kodak images are great, but you need a steady hand. Panasonic and Sanyo quite frankly suck. I've used all of these brands.

Best advice ever about compact cameras 12 mp is to much for the small sensor that compacts have. it will result in poor image quality.

this must be a slightly older model because the newer ones have a navigation dial in the back, 14mp and 720p movies and it shows you the pic while your ajusting it, and has 1gig of mem

i bought an fe4010 for my sister, i was confused to buy a nikon or an olympus but thank God i got olympus. it was so good that i went back to get another one, but it was out of stock so i got an fe 5010 and its awesome as was demonstrated.

I really disagree I boguyht the camera to make unboxing videos for cell phone, psp's, and more and using the video on the screens it comes in blury.. Besides that taking pictures and recording non screen thing its great...

i took videos , and they are very clear and the sound is very good . I do not know much about the differences of normal or HD, just that the image is much better. But i liked the quality A LOT , so I bet you'll do :)
