Can't put my vintage glass on a Nikon without an adapter with an extra element in it to enable focus to infinity. Usually this is shoddy quality, but even if it wasn't, It's a deal breaker. No Nikon in my shop.

@Pepingco While indy film makers are certainly using dslr to make films it still does not make it the standard no matter how many times it is said. I stand by what I said name one studio feature. Paramount vantage is not Paramount studios but a sub. It was also not financed by Paramount Vantage but they bought the distro rights for 4 mill. And for the record most productions when they need a crash cam use the 5d not the 7d.

I sometimes wonder, why spend a lot of money on a lens when software can do the same

@pimpjuice8921573 if you actually want to ask, I hold the camera the way I do as my hands are extremely steady and I need to have access to the full reach of the focus ring so I can rack as quick as the action makes me. To hold a camera the way you want me to restricts me immensely and screws my style. If I need the support I use it but not in broad daylight like this video was shot in.

Since people dont do their own research there is a Sundance film now being picked up by Paramounde called: Like Crazy, short films and canne films such as: Merlyn Haycraft -- Boxed Man Short Film and Cinnammon Chasers -- Winner of the 2010 SXSW Festival. European directors are also using the 7D in films such as: KUNTHAPURA Yes, its becomming a standard, all the Hollywood studios have bought several 7D's for their smaller projects, and the film Like Crazy is Paramounts first FEATURE with the 7D

@sirbob809 pretty sure I never said that, what I do believe though is that a part from a stop or 2 in iso and frame rate enthusiasts have the same opportunities as me. I have had to use either my D7000 or 90 on many occasions and no one knew the difference!

@gnosomai actually the sensor in the D3s is 6 times more sensitive than that of a cat.... pretty impressive huh? That baby can see in the dark like a cat full of carrots...

@Pepingco Actually any chance of naming 1 movie with a wide release, actually 1 movie thats actually a feature??? You will only see that on a D4 because it's the only camera that can record RAW to a Kipro.... Pep the kit you use is damn good but it's not the only one that can do what you want it to do. Lets all just stick to the facts.

@Pepingco I totally appreciate your post but where do you get 'Industry Standard' from? It used to be split pretty even but since the D3's ability to see in the dark, Hollywood has been heading over to Nikon in droves... With out both manufacturers we wouldn't have the amazing gear that we have. Both make incredible kit, it's just Nikon suits my style demands of low light and critical focus.
