To all the people who wrote negative comments, the point of the video is to make you think about life. Clearly it is depressing, but sometimes it takes a depressing story to make a change. The video itself is very insightful, and those who say that it make it look like he lived a horrible life, you're wrong. It, in fact, showed how lucky he was to be able to remember all the events that made up his life. He lost his family, he spent time with his father, he got married, etc. He lived his life.

The end does not define what you have. He died alone. Ok. But many live alone; he didn't. I think the only way this could be viewed as sad is if you only take in account his expression as an old man, but there it's his loss, to view all as lost, his choice to view the sorry and not the accomplishments. I know often it's not a conscious decision, what you focus on, but a decision it is.

He had a past and he was able to reflect on it. I have a feeling that the end scene of the two graves signifies that he has had enough of being alone and wants to join his family in heaven.

why do you only call out on the child and his wife? you missed out that he survived a war, he had a happy childhood, he found love. In the end, everyone dies but he has his memories of what he was able to have. That is something to enjoy. try the scenario where he died in the war or lost a limb, what if he couldnt find a wife, or he was sterile, what if his childhood was abusive. The video can either be viewed by an optimist or pessimist. But you definitely cant say he had nothing in the end.
