i'd say panasonic it's 14mp canon is 12mp also the video is much better on the panasonic as it has HD video

Hi, I use this camera and can recommend it to everybody who needs a tough pocket camera. My question: Is there a way to PAUSE while recording a video? Because I wish to sometimes make 1 single movie out of several scenes. Please reply, thanks, Nick

Video quality isnt bad, at 720p. However it doesnt have the fps you'd want at a motor sport event imo. A dedicated video camera, or a DSLR will give you better results. Saying that, the FT2 wont be bad. Sound on the other hand, at a motor sport event, will be pretty average. These are tiny microphones, and for anything decent (even on a dslr) you should have an external mic. Hope this helps. Dont forget to subscribe for more latest reviews and giveaways. Cheers Tom

I have the older model and I have to say that they have improved the waterproofing seal a lot. The one on mine worries me a bit.

THIS CAN NOT BE CALLED REWIEV BUT SIMPLY CAMERA SPECIFICATION VIDEO. I HAD THE FT1 AND NOW THE FT2 AS A SECOND ADVENTURE CAMERA. THE FT2 HAS SUPERB CONSTRUCTION (TESTED ON 10M DEPTH) AND VIDEOS IN AVCHD ARE BETTER DUE TO NEW PROCESOR (NO FLIPING IN FAST MOVEMENT) BUT THE PHOTOS WERE MUCH BETTER FROM THE FT1. IT IS DUE TO 14.1 MPIXEL ON SUCH A SMALL SENSOR. NONSENSE. IF YOU CLOSE UP EVERY PICTURE (100%)CLOSER YOU WILL NOTICE PIXEL DISTORTION AND NO DETAIL. WORSE THAN FT1. HIGH ISO ALSO A PROBLEM.

The FT10 is a cheaper version. Its specs are a little lower then the TF2. If you can afford the TF2, it will give you more versatility. If you cant. then go the FT10 - you will still get decent images. I hope this helps Tmo
