ha! My generation grew up with Snuffleupagus as a secret and nobody believing Big Bird. There was one episode when Snuffy was in striped pj's and one person saw him. He went to Bird and told him, but the stripes made him incorrect and another aggrivating day for me to watch people thinking their townsfolk were liars. Sigh.
