The video mentions that this is a new lens which was released with the 7D, that lens isnt new at all I bought it a year ago now when the 7D wasent available and am pretty sure its had been around for while before I got it. I think canon has been releasing with a different kit lens which is 17- something and looks similar but it much more expensive.

My 7D actually sounds faster than that. Maybe there wasn't enough light in there to get the full 8fps.

Great flickr page. I just got mine a couple of days ago and I was gonna upgrade to a 5D2, i went from a T1i to a 7D and was debating whether I should get the 5D2, but despite the 5D2 being full frame, it just can't beat the 7D's AF system and action photography potential.
