Metallica's version appeals to a different group of people. Modern people don't appreciate older rock.

They are what they are, stop judging who and what they are for once. They accomplished so much in their life you can't reach 'em.

St. Anger is the only album I didn't like. I didn't like one single song on that album. Waste of 13 bucks.
May 18, 2012 DontShootDood Says:
baahahahahahaaahahaha I saw what you did there! Agreed though. Seger's is way better. Doesn't mean metallica's is terrible, just doesn't compare even close haha
May 18, 2012 DontShootDood Says:
I love Metallica's version, but it doesn't come anywhere close to as good as this. Nothing beats the sax either!
May 18, 2012 krish9792 Says:
I would like to mention that no-one but Metallica could have covered it in a good way. Atleast they didnt dissappoint anyone. Bob Seger's version (Original) is obvioulsy the best.
May 17, 2012 MasterPayton11 Says:
why was metallica's version even mentioned on this page, not only did bob do it first, he did it better, and he did it with a saxaphone so that makes the song, Cool, Sexy, AND Saxy, and metallica is just grumpy that they've had writers block for the last 10 years

May 15, 2012 ReechReynolds Says:
And that's being generous. A lot of fans don't care for the Black Album at all and see it and everything after as a betrayal.

It's Turkish. "Afternoon, 2nd floor of a house overlooking the views of the Bosphorus Strait. Drinking hot tea while watching the cold light of the current against the wind blowing in. I felt like stopping.
Thanks Bob Seger."
A personal poetic moment of poignancy shared in Turkish, I reckon.
