Thanks for the insight, I did go ahead and buy the camera a few weeks ago, and I have to agree, the screen is really nice. it's glass or something so really durable/scratch resistant.

My sister has it and i'm in love with it! It has no scratches on it (shes had it for over 5-6 months maybe) She uses it all the time! No scratches whats-so-ever! Its an awesome camera!

How does the screen hold up and wear on this camera? my uncle has the Sony Cyber-shot tx5 and his screen has many scratches and blemishes from them dragging their fingers over it. does this camer have the same issue over time? or is it very durable?

LOVE the touch screen point focus feature. Really the best use of a touch screen on a camera. Really, only practical use for a touch screen on a non SLR camera. If I was in the market for a new digicam, I'd look into this one for sure.
