Thanks for the question. Joomla has recently undergone a ridiculous amount of quick change in my opinion. This has caused a barrage of issues amoung versions and templates, and extensions...etc... I'd say off hand it matters that you have the latest in Artisteer AND Joomla. It 'shouldn't give you any errors... Please let me know.

Do you have the latest version? For my own curiosity, are you on a Mac or a PC?

oh, but on a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 10 for Joomla and a 5 for HTML

I have it. It is Artisteer. it hangs up a lot. Only good for Joomla and others. For HTML make sure you have dreamweaver.

- no, Artisteer can't take thrid party html or psd design or layout. Mainly because everyone does them all so differently - artisteer has no way of knowing the format and how it should translate into the software. You can however use Artisteer to create the template with GUI. Then from now on in the future that file can be manipulated with Artisteer. Does this answers you? Thanks for you contact, hope this helps.

Hmmm.. it probably depends. Are you using Virtuemart? Artisteer will be for the default layout of your website. Sometimes depending the default template will show the cart contents, but like with Virtuemart it can have its own template which over rides artisteer. Not sure if that completely answers you but hope it helps.

- Thanks for the clarity. You won't be able to do this unfortunately. When Artisteer renders down a template it also creates another file with an .artx extension. This is what is needed to edit the looks through Artisteer. It is similar to a .psd file. The .psd file is needed to edit the graphic, but that file can be rendered down to a pic. Very similar with Artisteer. Finally, to be clear, Artisteer would not help you in creating new pages, only in how they look.

is where you can learn more about this tool and how to get it. Needless to say I think it is beyond amazing and saves you literally weeks of time in trying to develop a UNIQUE Joomla template. Whether you know code or not, this tool and its interface makes quick work of creating one, and one that no other human being has. It also equally makes just as cool WordPress and Drupal templates, but my favorite is Joomla so that is what the video is around. You basically use the interface to make whatever template you want, and then you choose the export option which in turn changes which template it makes (i.e. Wordpress, Drupal or Joomla).
You zip up the file and all details are taken care of for you. I couldn't recommend it enough! Less
